Shopify orders in Surfbase

When a rider buys one of your listed boards on Shopify, the order lands in Surfbase ready to build and ship.

What comes across

Surfbase brings in Shopify orders that include a board you listed from Surfbase. Other products in the same cart stay in Shopify. Each order arrives with:

  • the buyer, matched to an existing customer by email or added as a new one;
  • the boards at the prices the buyer saw, and their shipping address;
  • a payment for the boards once Shopify marks the order paid, which moves it to Paid.

Everyone on the team gets an email for each sale. Each order shows its Shopify order name.

Steps to fulfil one

  1. Start production

    Open the order and select Start production. It moves across the floor like any other order.

  2. Ship it

    When the board is ready, select Mark as shipped. Add the Tracking number, Carrier and Tracking link, then select Ship and tell Shopify. Shopify emails the buyer, with tracking if you added it.

If something goes wrong

  • If the board had already sold elsewhere, the order says so. Refund the buyer in Shopify.
  • If the order is cancelled in Shopify before production starts, Surfbase cancels it too. After production starts, nothing is reversed and you decide what happens to the board.
  • If your plan doesn't include orders, Shopify sales wait and the owner is told. They come in once orders are back on the plan.
