Snapshot the 3D view as a PNG

Steps

1. Open the 3D view

   Open a design, or the design editor, and select the 3D View tab.

2. Pose the board

   Drag to turn the board and zoom to frame it. Use View presets for Horizontal, Vertical, Side or Back, or Flip to show the bottom.

3. Take the snapshot

   Select the camera button, Snapshot, in the viewer controls. The PNG downloads straight away, named after the design, its version and the time, for example twin-fish-v3-3d followed by a timestamp.

4. Or copy it

   Select Copy to clipboard to paste the picture into an email, a message or a quote. On a Mac the shortcut is ⌘⇧C, and on Windows it's Ctrl+Shift+C.

What you get

The board is cut out on a transparent background, so it sits cleanly on any colour. The snapshot is taken at your screen's full resolution, so a bigger window gives a bigger picture.

Two looks come with their own background: Presentation, which stages the board in a lit studio, and a Lighting setting that shows its backdrop. Snapshots in those include the background.

If something goes wrong

The button stays greyed out until the board has loaded. If you see Snapshot failed, reload the page and try again.
