Add a customer

Before you start

Customers are on the Basic, Pro and Business plans. Basic includes 250 customers, Pro 1,000 and Business has no limit. Only a name is required, so add the rest whenever you know it.

Steps

1. Start a new customer

   Go to Customers and select Add customer.

2. Fill in Contact

   Type their Name. Email and Phone are optional, but you need an email to send them payment links or messages.

3. Add an address

   Address, City, State, Postcode and Country are used on invoices and for delivery.

4. Fill in the surfing profile

   Type their Weight in kg, then pick how often they surf, their Ability, Fitness, Wave size, Wave power, Break and Style. Every answer is optional. Weight and ability are what Surfbase needs to suggest a volume.

5. Add notes

   Notes are for your team only, for example board preferences or delivery instructions.

6. Save

   Select Create customer.

Other ways customers arrive

A shopper who sends an enquiry from your online store, or buys on Shopify, is added as a customer for you. Shopify buyers are matched to an existing customer by email where possible.

Removing a customer

Open the customer, select More actions, then Delete. Their orders keep their history.
